Main
- 1 pound Brussels sprouts trimmed and halved
- 4 slices bacon chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts, bacon, olive oil, salt, and pepper until coated.
Spread the mixture in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
Roast for 20–25 minutes, stirring once halfway through, until the sprouts are tender and bacon is crisp.
Remove from the oven and immediately drizzle with balsamic vinegar and maple syrup. Toss gently to coat.
From my multiple tests, serving immediately preserves the bacon’s crispness and the sprouts’ caramelized edges.
Use a well-aged balsamic vinegar for deeper flavor and avoid crowding the pan to ensure proper roasting.
