Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1 pound lean ground beef or turkey
  • 1/2 pound breakfast-style sausage in bulk or casings removed
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup

Seasonings and Add-ons

  • 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 6 ounces freshly grated white cheddar cheese

Assembly Ingredients

  • 6 brioche burger buns or English muffins
  • 6 large eggs
  • fresh arugula

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup mayo or plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha

Instructions

Prepare Bacon

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a large, rimmed baking sheet with foil, then place an ovenproof baking rack on top. Arrange the bacon in a single layer and bake until crisp, about 15 minutes.

Prepare Sauce

  • In a small bowl, stir together mayo, maple syrup, and Sriracha. Set aside.

Prepare Patties

  • Combine beef, sausage, maple syrup, mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper. Shape into 6 patties, careful not to compact the meat.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high. Cook patties 3 minutes per side or until they reach 165°F. Add cheese in the last minutes.

Assemble Burger

  • Top bun with sauce, arugula, patties, bacon, and fried egg. Place the top bun and serve immediately.
