Ingredients
  

Broccoli

  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets lightly blanched

Cheese Mixture

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup

Topping

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs optional for crunch

Instructions
 

Prepare the Ingredients

  • Blanch broccoli in boiling water for 3 minutes, then drain and rinse with cold water.

Assemble the Casserole

  • In a bowl, combine blanched broccoli, cream of mushroom soup, and half of the cheddar cheese. Mix well.

  • Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with remaining cheese and breadcrumbs. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.

Notes

Blanching the broccoli keeps it vibrant and tender. For a twist, add cooked chicken or mushrooms for added flavor. This casserole can be assembled ahead of time and baked just before serving.
