Ingredients
  

  • 1 20 oz bag frozen crinkle cut French fries
  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 2 10.5 oz cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 teaspoons steak sauce
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • For Serving optional:
  • Dill pickles sliced
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and move rack to the middle position. Spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Spread French fries on the baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until crispy.
  • Meanwhile, brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess grease.
  • Stir in cream of mushroom soup and steak sauce. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  • In a 9×13-inch baking dish, spread the beef mixture evenly.
  • Layer the baked fries over the meat and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  • Bake the casserole for 10 minutes or until cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
  • Serve immediately with optional toppings like pickles or lettuce.

Notes

For extra crispiness, broil the top for 2–3 minutes after baking. You can also swap in tater tots or add bacon for a cheeseburger-style twist. This Cheeseburger French Fry Casserole is perfect for leftovers!
