  • 1 block firm tofu pressed and drained
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil adds flavor and helps with crispiness
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch for extra crunch

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Press the tofu for about 30 minutes to remove excess moisture.
    1 block firm tofu
  • After pressing, slice the tofu and marinate in soy sauce for 15 minutes.

  • Toss the marinated tofu cubes in cornstarch until well coated.
    2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Spread the tofu on a baking sheet and bake at 400°F for 25-30 minutes.

Notes

Resting the tofu after pressing enhances its texture. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to restore crispiness.
