Ingredients
  

  • 14 ounces O’Brien hash brown potatoes with or without onions & peppers, frozen
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 1 cup diced green bell pepper
  • ½ cup diced yellow onion
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 1 10.5-ounce can cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup sour cream

Instructions
 

  • Remove the O’Brien hash browns from the freezer and set aside.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook and crumble the ground beef with the red pepper, green pepper, and onion until beef is browned and onions are translucent; drain.
  • Stir in Worcestershire, dried parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until coated.
  • Transfer the beef mixture to a 5–6 quart slow cooker. Add 1 cup cheddar, the cream of mushroom soup, milk, and sour cream; stir until creamy.
  • Fold in the hash brown potatoes until evenly mixed.
  • Cover and cook on LOW 3–4 hours (or HIGH ~2 hours), until potatoes are fork-tender; slow cookers vary, so check doneness.
  • Sprinkle remaining 1 cup cheddar on top, cover, and cook 30 minutes more until melted and bubbly.

Notes
