Ingredients

  • 3 –4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (can be frozen)
  • 1 18 oz bottle of BBQ sauce (any flavor you prefer)
  • 1 20 oz can of pineapple chunks, drained

Instructions

  • Place the chicken breasts into the bottom of your crockpot.
  • Pour the drained pineapple chunks over the chicken evenly.
  • Add the entire bottle of BBQ sauce on top—no need to stir.
  • Cover and cook on high for 2–3 hours or low for 4–6 hours.
  • Check that chicken is cooked through and tender.
  • Optionally shred the chicken directly in the crockpot and mix with the sauce.
  • Let it sit uncovered for 10–15 minutes to thicken slightly.
  • Serve your Crockpot Pineapple BBQ Chicken over rice, baked potatoes, or on sandwich buns.

Notes

For a saucier result, use crushed pineapple instead of chunks. Crockpot Pineapple BBQ Chicken also makes great leftovers—try it in tacos or sliders.
