Homemade Orangeade is a light and refreshing citrus drink made with freshly squeezed juices, perfect for warm days.

Ingredients
  

Citrus Juices

  • 2 cups orange juice preferably fresh squeezed, about 6 to 8 oranges
  • 1 cup lemon juice preferably fresh squeezed, about 4 to 6 lemons

Simple Syrup

  • 1/2 cup simple syrup see notes for preparation

Water

  • 5 cups water cold

Instructions
 

Juicing Citrus

  • Cut the oranges and lemons in half and use a citrus press to squeeze the juices into a liquid measuring cup.
    2 cups orange juice
  • Strain the juices through a fine mesh sieve.

Mixing

  • Combine the strained juices with simple syrup and cold water in a large pitcher, then stir to combine.
    1 cup lemon juice
  • Serve over ice and garnish with slices of orange and lemon.

Notes

Homemade Orangeade is best served fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Adding some fresh mint can elevate the flavor!
