- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes or more to taste
- ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 pound ground beef

In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, and ginger until smooth.
Heat vegetable oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
Add garlic and cook, stirring constantly, about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add ground beef and cook until browned, 3–5 minutes, breaking it into crumbles. Drain excess fat.
Pour in soy sauce mixture and stir to coat the beef.
Add green onions and simmer 2 minutes until heated through and glossy.
Serve over rice and garnish with sesame seeds and extra green onions.
For best flavor, use a cast iron skillet to brown the beef well. For a twist, try topping your Korean Beef Bowl with a fried egg for extra richness.
