This Magic Lemon Cobbler recipe is a beginner-friendly dessert with layers of golden, cakey crust and gooey lemon filling. No mixing required—just pour and bake for a magically delicious treat.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp lemon extract
  • 1 21 oz can lemon pie filling

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Place butter in a 9x9-inch baking dish and melt in the oven for 3–4 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  • Stir in buttermilk, vanilla, and lemon extract until just combined.
  • Pour batter over the melted butter. Do not stir.
  • Dollop lemon pie filling evenly over the batter.
  • Bake for 45–55 minutes, until edges are golden and bubbly.
  • Cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

For an extra lemony kick in your Magic Lemon Cobbler, add a sprinkle of lemon zest after baking. You can also swap in blueberry pie filling for a fun variation.
