Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • Cooking spray for greasing
  • Powdered sugar for dusting, optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 12-cup muffin tin with cooking spray.
  • Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat, then add water and bring to a boil.
  • Stir in flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder until a smooth dough ball forms—about 1 minute.
  • Remove from heat, cool 5 minutes, then mix in vanilla and eggs one at a time.
  • Spoon dough into muffin cups, filling halfway—they’ll puff up big!
  • Bake Nun’s Puffs for 20–25 minutes until golden and puffed.
  • Cool in tin for 5 minutes, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

For perfect Nun’s Puffs, don’t open the oven while baking—they need steam to rise! Try a fun twist: roll warm puffs in cinnamon sugar for extra coziness.
