  • 3 Vidalia onions, thinly sliced
  • 0.5 cup secret sauce

For the Secret Sauce:

  • 60 ml Dijon mustard

Instructions

  • Melt 2 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions and cook until golden brown and soft.
  • In a separate skillet, cook beef patties for 2 minutes per side until browned. Remove and wipe skillet.
  • Butter the outside of each bread slice.
  • On the unbuttered side, layer secret sauce, onions, cheese, a patty, more cheese and sauce, and top with bread.
  • Grill over medium heat until the bread is golden and cheese is melted, flipping once.
  • Repeat for remaining sandwiches. Serve warm and enjoy your Patty Melt with Secret Sauce!

Notes

For extra crispiness, toast the bread before assembling your Patty Melt with Secret Sauce. Try pepper jack cheese for a spicier twist.
