Peri Peri Sauce Recipe for Beginners

- 4-5 bird’s eye chilies adjust to taste
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp ground coriander
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tbsp honey optional
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Heat olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant (1 minute).
Stir in smoked paprika, cumin, oregano, and coriander. Toast for about 30 seconds.
Add lemon juice, vinegar, and honey (optional), and simmer for 5 minutes.
Add bird’s eye chilies, parsley, salt, and pepper. Simmer for another 5 minutes.
Transfer to a blender and blend until smooth. Let cool and store in an airtight container.
Tip: For a milder version, remove the seeds from the chilies before blending.
Variation: Add a tablespoon of red wine vinegar for an extra tangy twist.
