- 1 lb fresh brussel sprouts, rinsed, trimmed, halved
- 1 tbsp minced garlic about 3 cloves
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese optional
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and set the rack to the top position.
In a large bowl, toss halved brussel sprouts with garlic and lemon juice.
Add olive oil and toss to coat evenly.
Spread sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet, leaving space between them. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Roast for 25–30 minutes, stirring halfway, until golden and crispy.
If needed, broil for 5 minutes at 500°F for extra browning.
Toss with Parmesan (if using) and serve hot.
Notes For the best roasted brussel sprouts, ensure they’re spread out to avoid steaming. Variation: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes before roasting for a spicy kick.
