Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs room temperature
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • cups self-rising flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chopped pecans lightly toasted
  • Cooking spray or butter for greasing

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, whisk granulated sugar, brown sugar, and eggs until light and frothy.
  • Stir in vegetable oil and melted butter until fully combined.
  • Sift in self-rising flour and gently fold into the batter until smooth.
  • Mix in vanilla extract and chopped pecans until evenly distributed.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  • Cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes
