Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • ½ tsp cornstarch optional, for thickening

Instructions
 

  • Gather all spices and a small bowl or jar.
  • Combine chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Add oregano, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  • Mix in cornstarch if you want a thicker taco seasoning blend.
  • Whisk or shake until fully blended.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.
  • Use 2–3 tbsp to season 1 lb of meat or veggies.

Notes

Tip: Pulse in a spice grinder for a finer texture. Variation: For spicier homemade taco seasoning, add ¼ tsp cayenne pepper. Store in a cool, dry place to maintain freshness.
