  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 1 1/4 cups ditalini pasta uncooked
  • 2 cups chicken broth + up to 1 additional cup if needed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt plus more to taste
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese finely grated
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream +1/4 more if desired
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • black pepper to taste
  • fresh parsley minced

  • Add olive oil and garlic paste to a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat until garlic is fragrant and beginning to brown.

  • Add in ditalini pasta and stir to coat.

  • Pour in chicken broth to cover pasta and add salt. Stir frequently.

  • Once broth is mostly absorbed and pasta is al dente, add Parmesan cheese, heavy cream, and butter. Stir until cheese is melted.
