  • 8 ounces parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 3 yellow onions medium, very thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 2 teaspoons paprika or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder or to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon seasoning salt or to taste
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper or to taste

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a large baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Grate parmesan cheese and spread in a thin layer over the parchment paper. Slice onions very thin and lay them over the cheese in a single layer.
  • Brush onions with avocado oil. Sprinkle with paprika, sea salt, garlic powder, seasoning salt, and black pepper. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  • Let cool on the pan for 10 minutes before breaking up and enjoying.
